In their attempt to back up President Joe Biden and explain the border crisis, Democrats and the media have come up with a new excuse: It’s Donald Trump’s fault. Or the Republicans’ fault. At least it’s not Biden’s fault.
House spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) admitted to Morning Joe Wednesday that there was a crisis at the border, but Joe Biden could not be held responsible. “The president has been in office for less than two months,” Biden effectively relieved of any responsibility.
She assured MSNBC viewers that everything was under control.
“You bring it up and it will improve. We are all impatient when it comes to unaccompanied children on the border. ”

Mainstream media comes in to blame
In her role as administrative assistant to the Democratic Party, the media dutifully stepped in to help.
NBC’s Meet The Press host Chuck Todd claimed that Republicans had “sabotaged” our immigration policy and that they were “looking for a problem so they can get away from it.”
“In a way, they sabotaged our immigration policy, and that’s why we are here because they don’t want to focus on the pandemic either. Democrats, meanwhile, just want to talk about what they think is a popular COVID relief bill that was added to the bill last week. “

Todd also argued that the GOP essentially stole the thunder from the Biden government by politicizing and focusing on the border situation.
“The situation at the border has become a lightning rod for criticism from Republicans. You are politically picking up the issue at a moment when the White House is trying to focus on the COVID relief bill. “
Just before Todd claimed that the Republicans had “politicized” the border, he admitted, “… the Biden administration is preparing for a surge on the border unlike anything this country has seen in 20 years. The humanitarian emergency is quickly turning into a political emergency, just as the White House is hoping to have a winning lap on COVID relief. “
That seems like an important topic that deserves attention, doesn’t it?

Biden administration with assembly tension from all sides
President Joe Biden has been harshly criticized not only by Republicans who say the border crisis began as soon as Biden began dismantling Trump-era immigration policies, but also within his own party.
On Sunday, Rep. Vincente Gonzalez (D-TX) told CNN Abby Phillip: “We are not going to lock up children or separate families or tear children out of mothers’ arms, but we do need an orderly process for migrants who qualify for asylum, hopefully.” ask for asylum in their home country or a neighboring country or maybe build a center in southern Mexico where they can be processed there. “
Progressive Democrats who have long advocated the abolition of the ICE are also frustrated that the Biden government is hosting unaccompanied minors.
Right-wing extremist “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) recently sent a letter to the Biden administration asking for an executive order to expire “contracts between ICE” and local prisons.
The Rep. Ro Khanna was direct:
It is morally wrong for unaccompanied children not to have enough food, showers, or legal assistance. We need to work to reunite them with family members in the US, expedite their asylum applications, and place them in humane places through the Office of Refugee Resettlement. pic.twitter.com/OHmbzTKGrb

Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), minority chairman of the House of Representatives, led a delegation to El Paso on Monday to see the situation firsthand.
McCarthy said, “I came here because I heard about the crisis. It’s more than a crisis – this is a human heartbreak. This crisis is caused by the presidential policy of this new administration. There is no other way to claim this than a Biden border crisis. “
During an appearance on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) told host Alex Marlow:
“What we see is a real increase on the limit. It is a crisis, and this is a crisis of the Biden government. “
“When President Biden basically said our border was open – you won’t get deported, you won’t be turned away – people saw it as an engraved invitation to come to the US to stand in line and try to get the benefits . “

Not just a humanitarian crisis, but a national security crisis
In a report from Axios, Customs and Border Protection told Congress that four people who match names in the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database have been arrested at the border since October 2020.
Three of those arrested were from Yemen and one from Serbia. Members of the House of Representatives who were at the border this week said there were an unspecified number of migrants who had crossed the border and whose names matched those on the terror watch list.
Our southern border is spiraling out of control because millions of impoverished Central Americans have reason to believe they can skip the legal immigration process and stay in America forever just because they apply for fake “asylum”. https://t.co/C7g31MCLyv
