The The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, officially imploded this morning, signaling the end of former President Donald Trump’s stamp on the city. The building was destroyed in a controlled explosion at 9:08 a.m.
People paid money to see the implosion in person.
“The front row seats to see the spectacle on Wednesday morning were selling cheaply,” reported the New York Times. “Spectators in cars who want to see the symbolic finale of the former president Casino empire The seaside resort town was billed at $ 10 and driven into what was last used as a pandemic-era food outlet. “
“It’s the end of a not-so-great era,” Atlantic City resident Jennifer Owen told the publication. Owen paid $ 575 for a front row seat at a VIP breakfast with a direct view of the implosion.
It took about 20 seconds for the building to completely collapse.
