MP Scott Perry (R-PA) played a key role in connecting Trump with people willing to campaign.
The New York Times reported:
Mr Perry introduced the President to Mr Clark, whose openness to conspiracy theories about electoral fraud provided Mr Trump with a welcome respite from Acting Attorney General Jeffrey A. Rosen, who stood by the election results and had repeatedly resisted the President’s efforts to reverse them.
Mr Perry’s involvement is also likely to tighten scrutiny over House Republicans who continue to advance Mr Trump’s false and thoroughly debunked allegations of electoral fraud, even after President Biden’s inauguration this week and as Congress prepares for impeachment , in which it is examined whether such a conversation is held, instigated the uprising in the Capitol.
Trump was dismissed by high-ranking executive officials when he tried to use the federal government to overthrow the election and turned his attention to the House Republican loyalists and subordinate government officials to carry out his conspiracy to undo Joe Biden’s victory do .
All involved must be fully investigated and punished. The conspiracy to discard the 2020 election results appears to go much deeper than initially thought. Not only was it Trump and people like Rudy Giuliani trying to overthrow democracy, but the former president had elected members of Congress to the conspiracy.
