Republican Senator Ben Sasse said he would “definitely consider a vote” to indict President Trump or support his removal through the 25th amendment.
Sasse (R-NE) made his comments during an appearance on “The Hugh Hewitt Show”.
He said President Trump has “a deep brokenness in his soul” and accused him of telling the crowd to “go wild” at a rally earlier in the day.
When Hewitt asked if he should be “charged and removed”, Sasse replied that he had a lot to consider, but that the president had “fallen in with his duty”.
In an interview with CBS This Morning, Republican lawmakers admitted that they would “definitely consider” impeachment.
“When you get together and have a trial, I will definitely consider which articles you could move because … I think the president disregarded his oath of office,” said Sasse.

MP Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was the first Democratic lawmaker to announce a move to indict President Trump on Wednesday.
“We can’t let him stay in office, it’s about preserving our republic and we have to keep our oath,” she tweeted.
In a newly posted tweet, Omar seems even more confident about the possibility that she will succeed.
“He’s going to be charged,” she predicted. “Justice is served.”
“Thank you to the millions who responded to this attack on our democracy,” Omar continued. “Thank you to the hundreds of members who have heard your calls.”

Democrats want to accelerate an impeachment vote
CNN reports that Democratic lawmakers will consider hastening an impeachment decision if Vice President Mike Pence refuses to use the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office.
“Spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi and her senior management team are considering a lightning-fast impeachment process if Vice President Mike Pence and the Cabinet refuse to take unprecedented steps to remove President Donald Trump from office in less than two weeks,” they write.
They said the swift move to remove Trump from office has been confirmed by several Democratic sources.
Pelosi and her gang continue to wreak havoc on our land. So much for unity. It is important that they be defeated in 2022. And I assume that will be the case. Of course, the media are also behind it. Http://t.co/OEIYqBh4k8

CNN also advises that President Trump’s impeachment “would require significant support from both parties to succeed in the Senate”.
Sasse signals that he may wish to indict Trump. Sure would Romney (R-UT).
It is. Roy Blunt (R-MO), the senior Senate Republican who pondered the impeachment debate, quickly dismissed the idea.
“The speaker knows this will not happen. Senator Schumer knows this will not happen, ”he said.
“You don’t have the time, even if there was a reason. So there is no reason to discuss it, other than just pure politics. “
Sasse and Omar pretend to adhere to principles when in reality they are only concerned with politics that will continue to divide the country. It’s a shame.
