Democrats ship as Home passes invoice to extend stimulus checks to $ 2,000

The House Democrats got through for the American people and passed a bill that increased stimulus payments from $ 600 to $ 2,000.

The AP reported:

WASHINGTON (AP) – House votes to increase COVID checks to $ 2,000 and sends Trump’s motion to the GOP-controlled Senate.

Here was the final vote total:

The bill was passed between 275 and 134, with 44 Republicans joining the Democratic majority to vote in favor and only two Democrats voting no.

Trump allegedly supports increasing payments, but even his support failed to convince the majority of House Republicans to provide much-needed monetary aid to the American people.

The Senate will return on Tuesday, and the Democrats have already vowed to speak on the bill.
If Senate Republicans block support, voters in Georgia will know exactly who is responsible as they will continue to vote in two critical runoff elections in the Senate.

Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats did their part. Mitch McConnell and the Senate are now under pressure to either deliver for the American people or to turn the Senate over to Joe Biden in about a week.
