Outgoing Attorney General Bill Barr announced that he would not appoint a special adviser to investigate suspected election fraud or to conduct the Hunter Biden “tax affairs” investigation.
This is despite the concerns of tens of millions of Americans.
GOP lawmakers asked Barr earlier this month to conduct a forensic review of the 2020 elections.
Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) accused the AG of “missing in action” after suggesting a motion to investigate electoral fraud a few weeks earlier.
And Hunter Biden, son of President-elect Joe Biden, announced that he is currently the subject of a federal investigation into his “tax matters” that began in 2018, a year before his father announced his presidential campaign.
Hunter Biden has been under investigation since 2018. We only found out now. The media did not address allegations against Hunter throughout the 2020 election cycle. Many declared that @NYPost stories were Russian disinformation.

Barr: No special lawyer required
Barr believes none of these matters – which are of great concern to President Trump’s 70 million supporters – are so high that a special adviser will be required.

“I think to the extent that there is an investigation, I think that it will be handled responsibly and professionally,” he announced on Monday with regard to Biden.
“So far, I’ve seen no reason to appoint a special lawyer, and I don’t plan to do so before I go.”
He further stated that although he was “certain” that there had been electoral fraud in the 2020 presidential election, he saw “no basis” for the federal government to seize voting machines and investigate them for this fraud.
At least he’s evolved a bit on that front.
“To date, we have not seen any fraud to the extent that it could have affected another election result,” Barr informed the Associated Press in early December.

What happened to barr?
Tensions between the Attorney General and the GOP have been mounting for some time.
Aside from his relatively low level of curiosity in investigating allegations of election fraud, the Wall Street Journal announced last week that Barr told prosecutors and colleagues not to allow the word of the investigation against Biden to be published in the weeks leading up to the election.
A tremendous disadvantage for the American people, if there ever was one.
Why didn’t Bill Barr reveal the truth about Hunter Biden to the public before the election? Joe was on the stage of debate that nothing was wrong or was going on – the press confirmed. Big disadvantage for Republicans in the elections!

President Trump took to the streets last Monday when he announced Barr had resigned, citing the soon-to-be ex-attorney general “did an excellent job”.

Barr was outstanding in many ways, but was clearly derelict in his duty on alleged electoral fraud.
And successfully hiding Hunter Biden’s pre-election investigation from President Trump and the American people, as the left media has also done, is a travesty of justice.
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), recently asked if he had confidence in Barr, replied, “I did it before.”
We imagine the American people feel the same way.
However, Bill Barr appointed US attorney John Durham as special counsel in investigating the origins of the Russian collusion probe.
“Although I expected Mr Durham to complete his job by the summer of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic as well as additional information he had uncovered prevented him from doing so,” Barr said in the announcement.
“I have determined [Durham] as a special lawyer because I wanted to reassure him and his team that they can finish their jobs and are now making good progress, and I assume they can finish their jobs, ”said Barr.
“And I hope the next government will handle this matter responsibly.”
It seems rather problematic to bet on Biden, who will essentially be Obama’s third term, for a responsible investigation into the dealings of Obama-era officials with the Russia probe.
