In yet another sign that almost everyone is realizing that Joe Biden will be in the Oval Office on January 20, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence is officially looking for an apartment.
As the Washington Post reported on Saturday, “Vice President Pence has begun looking for a new home in the Washington suburbs and plans a valuable overseas trip to begin the day when Congress counts the votes of the electoral college.”

Pence aside, the report notes that White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows initiated the idea of ”starting a consulting firm with fellow White House aides and allies,” while Trump’s economic adviser Larry Kudlow says he already has TV appearances planned.
More on the Washington Post:
Cabinet secretaries give final media interviews and gifts to staff. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos recently granted an interview with the American Enterprise Institute in which she advised her successor. “There is a simple guiding principle that I would recommend not just to the next education secretary, but to every educator and education leader: Put students first,” she said.
There is no serious planning for a second term, and four officials say the west wing is far more dormant than it used to be, and aides spend their days interviewing or working from home. The outer Oval Office, once a constant hustle and bustle of traffic that wanted to see the President, no longer booms with the same energy.
Trump is in rejection
Even if Donald Trump’s advisors accept that they need a new home and a new job starting next month, the outgoing president continues to deny that Joe Biden won the November election.
On Saturday morning, Trump even tweeted: “[Biden] did not win the election. He lost all 6 swing states many times over. They then each cast hundreds of thousands of votes and got caught. “
He didn’t win the election. He lost all 6 swing states many times over. Then they each cast hundreds of thousands of votes and were caught. Now Republican politicians must fight to keep their great victory from being stolen. Don’t be weak fools! https://t.co/d9Bgu8XPIj

While Trump’s lies about the election were originally intended to motivate his MAGA mob to continue pumping money into his personal slush fund after the election, Trump himself is beginning to believe his own delusions.
As CNN reported, “While Trump has begun to privately accept the reality that he lost the election late last month, advisors say Trump has now turned around and digged deeper – not just spreading misinformation about the election, but she recorded herself. “
Whether Donald Trump will accept Joe Biden’s victory is ultimately a moot point. On January 20, 2021, he will be forced to leave the White House one way or another.
