Virginia Democratic Governor Ralph Northam announced some tough new COVID-19 regulations on Thursday and sent a brutal message to Christians telling them to stay out of churches over Christmas.
Northam issues new COVID restrictions
“This year we have to think about what is really most important. Is it the worship or the building? “Northam said during a press conference.” To me, God is wherever you are. You don’t have to sit in the pew for God to answer your prayers. “
The Democrat urged religious leaders to “show the way” and “set an example” for their communities.
“Masked worship is still worship, outside worship, or online worship is still worship,” Northam added.
However, the left-wing governor admitted that he does not have the authority to legally restrict personal worship ceremonies, citing a recent Supreme Court ruling against New York State which results in his inability to do so.

Northam proclaims churches
Northam then proclaimed churches in place of all places of worship, claiming there were reports of Christians not socially distancing themselves or wearing masks.
“I’ve heard reports. They don’t use distancing within the church. They don’t wear masks. In all honesty, we know a lot of the spread comes from this, ”he said.

Since Northam didn’t stop there, he also put a curfew and demanded that people be inside from 12:00 pm to 5:00 am
“I’m also going to say something my parents taught me when I was younger and that’s a bad thing that happens after midnight,” he continued.

In addition, under the new Northam rules, bars and restaurants must stop selling alcohol at 10:00 p.m. and social gatherings must be limited to ten people, up from 25 before.
After all, Northam ordered the people of Virginia to wear masks indoors, even if they stay socially distant.

It is despicable that when Northam announced its new coronavirus rules, it felt a need to call out Christians and churches.
If he had said this about Muslims and mosques, all hell would have broken loose and Northam would have been widely beaten up as a fanatic. Since he targeted Christians in this way, there is no outrage from the media.
