As Trump is about to leave office, Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance delves into Trump’s potentially criminal bank loans and mortgages.
The New York Times reported:
Prosecutors in Manhattan have interviewed several employees of President Trump’s bank and insurance broker in the past few weeks, according to those knowledgeable of the matter, significantly escalating an investigation into the President he cannot stop.
Recently, Mr Vance’s office has stepped up its efforts, issuing new summons and interviewing witnesses, including some before a grand jury, according to knowledgeable individuals who asked for anonymity because of the sensitivity of the investigation.
Vance doesn’t go on a weak fishing expedition. The Manhattan investigation becomes a long-term criminal investigation into decades of illegal behavior by Donald Trump and his family. Trump appears desperately interested in holding onto the White House because he’s going to walk straight into the middle of a criminal investigation from the Oval Office.
The Manhattan investigation is the first known of its kind, but it is unlikely to be the last. A key element of this investigation is that all criminal charges brought against the Trump Organization involve all of Trump’s adult children who are Company officials.
Trump and his children have dreams of returning to the White House, but the reality is that they will be fortunate enough to avoid criminal convictions.
