According to a report by Bloomberg News, several immigrant trailers are forming in Central America and heading for the border in the coming weeks.
According to Bloomberg, the trailers represent an “early test” for President-elect Joe Biden and his promised efforts to abolish President Trump’s major immigration reforms.
The report quoted Jose Luis Gonzalez, coordinator of the Red Jesuita con Migrantes in Guatemala, who advised “there will be caravans and there will be more caravans in the coming weeks”
Gonzalez notes that it is Biden’s promise to reverse Trump’s anti-illegal immigration policies that are partly motivating the caravans to move.
“Biden has pledged to abolish many of Donald Trump’s migration policies, including prolonged detention and family segregation, to prevent illegal migration,” said Bloomberg.
“This is encouraging impoverished Central Americans to travel and test the Biden government.”

Where would these new waves of asylum seekers and / or potential illegal immigrants get the idea that America’s borders would soon be much friendlier?
Perhaps it is a report this week that Joe Biden intends to hire a “senior” Justice Department (DOJ) official whose sole role and focus is to systematically reverse President Trump’s immigration policy.
President-elect Joe Biden has vowed to immediately reverse the Trump administration’s restrictive immigration policies.

Perhaps it is one promise after another from the Biden campaign ahead of the elections that it would create a route to citizenship for illegal aliens because “we owe them something”.
“We made a mistake. It took too long to get it right,” says Biden when asked why voters should trust him to carry out immigration reform after the Obama administration led and record deportations has not kept this promise. https://t.co/sfK5s5ZOTW # Debates2020 pic.twitter.com/MQEtGE0sQB

Or perhaps it was his vow as elected president to grant mass amnesty to over 11 million illegal immigrants within the first 100 days of his term in office.
“I will commit in the first 100 days. I will send the US Senate an immigration bill with a route to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people in America,” Biden vowed during an NBC interview.
Whatever the reason, as Gonzalez notes, the immigrant caravans are encouraged to give Biden a try.

Biden wants to keep his open border guidelines calm
One of the most notable parts of the Bloomberg report is the fact that the new Biden administration is keen to keep its open borders policy at rock bottom.
“Biden’s advisors hope to turn away from Trump’s policies without signaling that the border has been opened, according to people familiar with the planning,” they claim.
This is in spite of the examples mentioned above by the elected president, who declares that the line should essentially be torn wide open.

Not only will this be a test of Biden’s immigration policy, but also a test of his strict pandemic lockdown rules and mask mandate.
Gonzalez notes that the caravans don’t care about these things, saying, “People are no longer afraid of the coronavirus.”
Will the new president allow people to break the law on our nation’s sovereign borders only to have them arrested for not wearing a mask or for inappropriately social distancing?
By promoting migration, you are promoting the spread of the pandemic.
Interestingly, the Los Angeles Times published a fake news in October claiming that Trump supporters were organizing immigrant caravans to influence the elections.
And yet they still seem to come.
