Donald Trump’s legal team held a press conference on Thursday afternoon. Many viewers couldn’t take their eyes off Rudy Giuliani when his flop sweat ran his hair dye down his face.
But lawyer Sidney Powell’s claims were even more astonishing. In a wild allegation of election fraud, Powell talked about Venezuela, George Soros, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and the hacking of voting machines.
Republican Senators have been slow to refer to the Trump legal teams as shennanigans, but the attorney’s performance was enough to get Joni Ernst to speak.
The Iowa Senator was particularly concerned when Powell said, “MeIn terms of the level of corruption that we are looking at here, we have no idea how many Republican or Democratic candidates … paid to have the system rigged for them. “
This is a holy bullshit moment: “In terms of the level of corruption we are looking at here, we have no idea how many Republican or Democratic candidates … were paid to have the system rigged for them.” – Sydney Powell
Listen up, GOP. You next call out your choices.

Ernst was asked about these comments during an appearance on Guy Benson’s Fox News radio show. She said to Benson:
“This is an offensive comment to those of us who stand up and represent our states in a dignified manner. We believe in honesty. We believe in the integrity of our electoral system. Because of this, I believe that if fraud is out there it should be brought to the attention of the court. The evidence should be presented. But to claim that Republican and Democratic candidates paid to call off this election, I find absolutely outrageous, and I insult that. “
