Trump marketing campaign declares victory in Pennsylvania after sued to cease voting

The Trump campaign attempted to declare victory in Pennsylvania while also suing to make the state stop counting votes.

Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien said in a press conference:

Minutes after the Pennsylvania no longer counting lawsuit (with 1.1 million uncounted ballots), Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien said in a press conference: “We declare a victory in Pennsylvania.”

It doesn’t work that way.

A soccer team cannot declare victory and leave the field if they take the lead after the first quarter.

The candidate, or in this case his campaign, cannot unilaterally stop the number of votes and declare himself the winner.

Trump has lost every lawsuit he campaigned against Pennsylvania and its counties. It is obvious that Trump knows he will lose Pennsylvania once all the votes are counted. Therefore he tries to interrupt the count and cloud the water with a false declaration of victory.

Donald Trump is trying to fool people into winning an election that he is losing. His lawsuits seek to disenfranchise voters and the campaign’s public statements are an attempt to destroy the credibility of the US election.

Trump is well on the way to losing Pennsylvania and no unilateral declaration of victory can change the reality that math is working against Trump.
