Court docket doc reveals Joe Biden is listed as a doable witness with Hunter in Fraud Case

By Paul Sperry for RealClearInvestigations

A federal judge named Joe Biden, along with his son Hunter, as a possible “witness” in a fraud case last year that led to the conviction of two of Hunter’s business associates after neglected court documents.

The Democratic presidential candidate’s appearance on a witness list raises new doubts about his claims that he is ignorant of his son’s seedy dealings.

Hunter Biden blamed one of his convicted partners – Devon Archer – for the name of his father, who was on a list of potential witnesses in a juror questionnaire filed on January 11, 2019 in the case.

In a 47-minute recording recovered from his abandoned laptop, an excited hunter can be heard grumbling about calls he received from his father, who was apparently upset about developments as he prepared to start his campaign for to start the White House.

“And I get calls from the US law firm [because] My best friend Devon called me as a witness without telling me in a criminal case – and my father – without telling me, “Hunter said on the May 11, 2018 tape, which is believed to be a tape of a conversation that the affected son had had with an unnamed woman.

Before US District Judge Ronnie Abrams of New York involved a jury in the fraud case, she asked the jury if they were dealing with anyone on a list she had provided “whose names might appear during the trial, or the witnesses in the case could be. ”

Joe Biden’s name appears above his son’s on a list of dozens of people who, according to the document titled “Questions to Ask Jurors,” could create conflict for potential jurors selected from the jury pool.

On October 7, a federal appeals court resumed a jury’s fraud judgment against Archer, Jäger’s long-time business partner. The sentencing is scheduled for January.

In 2018, a jury in Abrams’ court found that Archer and two other defendants had illegally spent proceeds from bond issues by the Nebraska Oglala Sioux on personal effects.

Archer has been convicted of conspiracy to commit securities fraud under the bond plan that defrauded investors for approximately $ 60 million.

Hunter, a roommate of Archer, was repeatedly involved in the program.

According to court records, Archer was a longtime business partner of Hunter Biden and the couple were affiliated with “an opaque investment company called Rosemont Seneca Bohai LLC, which is known and believed to be affiliated with Rosemont Seneca Partners LLP, an investment firm run by Archer’s friend and former college roommate, Hunter Biden. “

The politically influential name Biden was used, according to court records, to legitimize the sale of the fraudulent tribal bonds.

Archer and Hunter also raised millions as board members of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, while then Vice President Joe Biden served as the point man for US-Ukrainian politics from 2014-2017.

Joe Biden has repeatedly insisted that he was completely ignorant of his son’s business relationships and never discussed them with his son.

“I have never discussed anything with my son or brother or anyone else related to their business – period,” he told reporters in August 2019.

“I never spoke to my son or brother or anyone else in the distant family about their business interests, period.”

Not everyone is convinced.

“If Joe didn’t know why should he be called as a witness?” said Toni Caiazzo Neff, a Wall Street compliance officer who has closely followed several Bidens-related securities fraud cases.

The Biden campaign had no comment. It hasn’t denied the authenticity of emails and other messages on Jäger’s laptop, but dismissed Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s affairs as a “desperate smear campaign”.

However, a former Hunter whistleblower partner said Biden was not open about his involvement.

“I saw Vice President Biden say he never spoke to Hunter about his business. I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, ”said former business partner Tony Bobulinski.

“I heard Joe Biden say that he never talked about his business with Hunter. This is wrong. I know about this firsthand because I’ve dealt directly with the Biden family, including Joe Biden. ”

The U.S. Navy veteran said he met with the vice president on multiple occasions, including on May 2, 2017, when Hunter led Biden to brief his father about a potential Chinese company at a hotel bar in Beverly Hills, California.

In a message posted on May 20, 2017, another partner, James Gilliar, warned Bobulinski not to mention the Democratic candidate’s involvement in the SinoHawk joint venture.

“Don’t mention Joe is involved, it’s only if you are [sic] are face to face, I know you [sic] I know that, but they are paranoid, ”says a screenshot of the message from Gilliar.

Bobulinski said Gilliar and his partner Rob Walker are “paranoid about keeping Joe Biden’s involvement a secret”.

In April 2015, Hunter arranged for a Burisma official to meet his father – then the Vice President – in Washington, according to emails recovered from Jäger’s old laptop.

The Biden campaign has stated that it cannot find the meeting recorded on Biden’s official schedule.

In 2013, Hunter went to Beijing with his father on Air Force Two and introduced the vice president to a Chinese businessman who helped his son launch a $ 1.5 billion mutual fund.

In 2011, the White House visitor logs saw several Chinese businessmen involved with Hunter escorted to a meeting with the Vice President.

Despite his repeated denial of any personal involvement in his son’s deals, at least two pieces of evidence have emerged suggesting that Joe Biden had a secret part in Hunter’s deals.

In a text message to his daughter Naomi in 2019, Hunter said, “Don’t worry, unlike Pop, I’m not going to make you give me half of your salary.”

And an email from May 2017 proposing the SinoHawk company’s stock split shows the four partners will each receive 20% of the shares, with 10% going to “Jim” and the remaining 10% going to “from H for.” held the big guy? “

Bobulinski has confirmed that the “big guy” is referring to Joe Biden and that the former vice president should be a silent partner of the company.

Bobulinski has handed evidence, including contemporaneous communications related to his meetings with Joe Biden, to Senate and FBI investigators.
