A new Gallup poll shows that registered voters overwhelmingly believe they are better off under President Trump than under Obama-Biden four years ago.
The numbers are pretty baffling when you consider national polls show former Vice President Joe Biden leads Trump nationally by a wide margin.
As a summary of the poll reads, "The latest Gallup poll found that a clear majority of registered voters (56%) say they are better now than they were four years ago, while 32% say they are worse . "
This is an increase of 11 points over the numbers received by the Obama-Biden administration in 2012.
It should be noted that this poll was conducted before two events that may have harmed Trump in the polls – the presidential debate and the president's coronavirus diagnosis.
The Gallup poll just got the incredible result that 56% of you say you are better off during a pandemic than you were four years ago (OBiden). Highest number in existence! Pretty amazing!

America is better off under Trump than under Biden
It was Ronald Reagan who famously asked during his 1980 presidential campaign, "Are you better today than four years ago?"

The question was raised during a close race against Democratic President Jimmy Carter and got Reagan to a major referendum and victory on the electoral college.
Remarkably, in 1984, Reagan's "better" percentage was only 44 percent, according to Gallup.
He eliminated Walter Mondale by 525 against 13 votes.

In fact, Trump's "better off" numbers are higher than any poll conducted since – George H.W. Bush 1992 (38%), George W. Bush 2004 (47%) and Barack Obama 2012 (45%).
Trump's numbers are the only clear majority – well over 50 percent – while two of the aforementioned presidents easily won re-election.
Gallup: 56% say they are better off than four years ago, and Trump leads Biden 49/46 on the "I agree with him" metric. But Trump throws eight net points on the question of "presidential qualities". This is the ball game right now. * He * is the reason he's lagging behind.

Approval ratings on par with other presidents who have won re-election
The Better Off poll comes despite a global pandemic and Democrat-led shutdowns that have ruined the economy.
Even after everything the country has been through, the American people still feel they are in a better position than they were under the Obama administration.
Could the media be wrong about the president?
President Trump responded aggressively to the coronavirus by stopping travel to China and ushering in the largest mobilization of American industry since World War II.
Meanwhile, his middle class tax cut policy agenda has set the stage for what the Trump campaign calls the big American comeback.
Another great job report!
Unemployment fell to 7.9% and over half a million jobs were created.
The big American comeback is still happening thanks to @realDonaldTrump!

Trump's latest approval rating is absolutely positive, with Obama's average at 46% and higher than Bush's at 36%.
The Gallup poll also shows that 49 percent of registered voters agree with the president on these issues, compared with 46 percent who side with Biden.
When it comes to the qualities of the president, Biden leads Trump with 49-44 percent.
